About Uke-East

Uke-East members converge on our meetings from all over Sydney - not just the East. Some come from out of town when visiting Sydney. All are welcome at our monthly meetings or special workshops. You can just strum along, or put your hand up to give us a shout for a song or even lead the group in learning some new techniques. Meetings are casual and relaxed.

Uke-East was set up to provide a home for the ukulele players and enthusiasts of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Attendance is free and the club meets every last Monday of the month at the Woollahra Golf Club in Rose Bay. The Big Band (great for beginners) meets two weeks prior in the Randwick Literary Institute.

Membership and participation in Uke-East is open to all ukulele players - from the most experienced veterans to brand new players. Most Uke-East members are relative beginners, so don’t be shy about coming along. It’s a friendly and supportive environment to practice and improve your skills and to share your love of making music.
